I ran into this problem the other day, i'll explain what I did and the
reason behind it.
dev/hda1 (windows) = 2gig
dev/hda3 (/boot) = 30mb
dev/hdd1 (swap) = 120mb
dev/hdd2 (/) = 2.5 gig
The rest of the other space i havent talked about is taken up by windows.
Now the whole scenario behind this is that you gotta keep the boot under
1024 cylander limit, because of you having a 30gig harddrive and where you
have linux siting in it. It is causing /boot to well and truly sit outside
the range of 1024. I know that the new lilo overcomes this problem but as i
was told it is a catch 22 as you have to have linux on there first. SO
basically what you are going to have to do is make a small /boot partition
at the beginning of the drive or put linux before windows, due to popular
belief i've noticed ppl wont attempt to put windows behind linux, but
believe me windows will continue to boot the way it is supposed to sitting
behind linux, as that is the way i always used to run mine up until now.

"There seems to be a problem with your lilo configuration
Warning: device 0x0302 exceeds 1024 cylinder limit
geo_comp_addr: Cylinder number is too big (2805>1023)"
If I choose to not install LILO and continue with the setup, I get an
Invalid Partition table on reboot.
Thanks for any advice on how to setup Both partitions, or how to get lilo on
and running without this error message.
PS, I search for the error message at google, and it brought me to this
users list, so I hope I'm in the right spot.
