I am trying to get X Windows running on a computer with the Intel 810e
chipset. I have downloaded the software from the Intel site, compiled
and installed the software, and entered the required changes to
XF86Config. The motherboard is a Matsonic MS-7012D with a Pentium III
at 550 Mhz. When I run "startx -- -bpp 16" the screen is blank for a
while and then I get a socket error 111; which I understand doesn't mean
much, followed by error 3. Win95 runs fine.
If anybody has any ideas, I'd like to see them. Thanks,
