[SLU] Konqueror questions

Hey List!
I'm interested in this Konqeuror thing. :) I have a cd from last
month's Maximum Linux mag. and it has a copy of Konqueror on it.
To install it, do I need to upgrade to KDE2? It seems that all of
that was included on the cd (I'll look it over again after work tonight)
-- am I asking for trouble?
I'm a bit of a newbie and am unsure of what I'm getting myself into.
What can I expect and what precautions should I take before
going any further? (I have unpacked all the tarballs -- they're now
sitting in wait for my configuring and installing.)
I also have a question about upgrading the kernal to 2.2.16 (Storm 2000
ships with 2.2.14). I've asked that in another message.
