That's another problem, I do not know how to create a drive.. I've edited
the /etc/fstab file by adding "/dev/hdd /zip100 vfat
defaults,noauto,user/exec,rw 0 0", but I do not know what to do next..
when I attempt to: mount /dev/hdd, I get an "unable to locate mount point"
error.. what am I missing??...
==============
I'll assume that you have already created a drive called /zip or
something to that effect, and that you have edited your /etc/fstab file
to include hdd4 or something like that (you should have the zip drive so
that you can mount it and unmount it). If you have not done this yet,
let me know.
You can create a nifty KDE icon for the zip drive, by either using the
KDE panel-> edit menus. Here an alternative way to do the whole thing
rather quickly:
Open the file manager (kfm, the icon at the bottom of the screen).
Drag the floppy drive icon on the main screen intothe file manager
panel. Indicate: copy (rather than move).
Right click on the icon you have moved into the folder and select
properties.
Under General change the name Floppy to zip
Under Device change fd0 to hdd4 (or whatever your zip drive is)
Click on the icons for open and closed. If you scroll down, you find the
zip icons at the bottom. Change the icons.
Indicate ok, then drag the icon in your file manager back onto the main
screen. This time you can indicate move, rather than copy.
You should be all set
