yeap,I just modified /etc/apt/sources.list to point to woody ,
apt-get update
apt-cache search task-kde
apt-get install task-kde task-kdegames task....all of the above results
reboot
logged in as root at a console (for example CTRL ALT F2)
cd /etc/gdm/Sessions
ln Debian kde2
(got this from the list didn't have time to investigate why,it just
works
you may want to read the archives just in case I remembered it wrong)
Then you can choose session kde2 in gdm
I still left my sources pointing to woody and everything still works
just fine.I didn't install anything after upgrading to kde2 from woody
so
no clue as of now when it's gonna break if I install anything else since
woody is unstable.
They may be a better way,you may want to check
http://kde.tdyc.com/debian
for potato packages ,but when I did it the site was down since a lot of
people pissed off the maintainer with stupid questions and rantings.:-(
Maybe it's up again for kde2 and potato.
Anyway you may want to wait a few days for a better reply (one without
using woody for packages) but for me it was time anyway to switch to
woody.
