If you're in the market for a sound card these days, not getting a
SBLive! doesn't make much sense.  You get so much card for your money,
it's not even funny.  The SBLive! Value OEM version goes for about $65
Can. here in Vancouver, and it's pretty much the same card as the
X-Gamer or the MP3, only with no digital input.  Even that can be
circumvented by buying a 3-rd party adapter that attaches to the
internal pin headers, or just hacking it yourself by attaching wires
directly to the pin headers.  4-speaker surround, and CPU-friendly 3d
sound for games, real-time effects like echo and reverb, and a really
nice mixer...  $65 bucks Canadian doesn't do it justice.
