Mike
All the distros listed that included PM should have PM 4.0 SE.
As long as you are running Win95 or 98 any would work for your purpose.
If you are running Win ME or 2000 you would need PM 5.0 or 6.0

Subject: Re: [SLU] HDD partitions

Hi!

Thanks to all for the responses to my query. I am now looking into
getting PartitionMagic, though I've had some trouble getting to their
secure server. I have, however, found a few cheap boxed distros at the
local <free_plug> Half Price Computer Books </free_plug> that include
PM. Sadly, none of them list which version they have included. These
distros are:
        Mandrake Complete Linux 6.0
        Mandrake Professional Suite 6.5
        Caldera OpenLinux 1.3

Does anyone own any of these? If so, could I please trouble you to
advise me as to which versions (stripped-down?) of PM were included, and
whether they work adequately for this purpose? I spent quite a bit of
yesterday afternoon poking around on the Caldera, Mandrake and
PowerQuest websites to no avail.

TIA,
Mike
