Yes.  When you compile the 2.4 kernel, you can enable
backwards-compatibility with ipchains modules, which maintains the integrity
of your firewall setup.

I would hope (HINT, HINT) that Storm would send out update to the firewall
distribution that would implement iptables capabilities.
With Storm's reputation, they're bound to be on it already.

As for working with woody, I'll defer that to another user.
