[SLU] Powerdown doesn't

Hello,   I installed Stormix Deluxe and upgraded last night via apt-get dist-upgrade. When I powerdown my system via halt, the computer does not shut down and power off. It did when I had a version of Stormix rain linux installed.   How can I fix this?   Thanks   Frank
