I have two machines in my office (NT4 and Storm), and I've had this happen 
too.  All I have to do is switch away from the frozen machine, then switch 
right back and the mouse comes back fine.  Have you tried that?  It's 
happened on both machines.

I've got a Belkin 4 port KVM switch.
