I solved the problem of some missing characters on my french canadian keyboard (@ and ç) by putting Xkblayout=ca_enhanced (not sure about the exact syntax) in  my XF86config file. The window managers are then using this keyboard except KDE. For KDE1, I could tell it to use the X keyboard layout instead of its own keyboard layout (not necessary in KDE1 since the international keyboard for french canadian is working too).

But in KDE2, I can't make it use the X keyboard layout I specified in XF86config and I can't find any configuration file to do so. It is always switching to the default us keyboard. The international keyboard in KDE2 doesn't have the french canadian one so I'm doomed.

Does anybody know how I can make KDE2 use the X keyboard layout I specified in XF86config or if there is a french canadian layout for KDE2? Sometimes I wish I wasn't working in french at all so I would not need any special keyboard!!!
