I'm part of the beta testing group for Progeny (not Prodigy... evil
ISP...) and, while I tried the download/install of it after installing
Debian potato and working just fine, I haven't been able to get the
actual cdrom installation going yet... it gets hung up at the starting
of x for the graphical install. Oops!
They have already responded to my bug report to the effect that
they have the same video card as I do and will try to duplicate my
problem and find a solution so, until that happens, I'll play with the
previous version I "upgraded" to. By the way, though, they do have
some VERY nice tools like package configuration tool. Very nice
indeed. If you want to reconfigure, say, exim, you can do it with
this handy tool rather than rerunning the config script. It has all the
packages like that ready to reconfigure in a nice, clean gui.
Again, we'll see how this beta test goes. With Mr. Ian Murdock as
part of this project, it's gotta be pretty good... at least it will be
pretty soon. :)
