Dear Jeff I didn't really discover anything! MCC brought them to my attention asking for an emissions and performance test. They ran their stove their way, I ran it mine the next day. It has potential and how to achieve it was conveyed to them in a way they can improve it immediately. It may need a little refinement for a month or two.
I am bit bemused about the fuss over who invented what. The Romans used TLUD fires to limit smoke production. Nat and I were discussing it in Washington. Some things are just worth rediscovering. Let's get on with more and better stove designs. I met someone in DC who has a new idea for basic can type stoves that I have not seen before. He has been doing experiments and has successfully shortened the flames. That will be of interest to Indian stove makers because they have height issues. I will get back to you on that.
