Dear Crispin, Now that would be a job I would like. River and lake canoeing/camping is my recreation. I think they harvest that way in Minnesota. They are starting to grow wild rice in California about 150 miles from here near Sacramento (without the canoe). Finding a marketable use for the hulls would help them out.
