I agree with Christa, pellets are too good a fuel for most people to 
afford and their very shape and density gives them a huge advantage, in 
UK they seem to cost 4 times the dry weight of raw wood. I think my 
colleagues and I imported the first batch of pellet stoves into UK so I 
think they have a place.

How so? This is how the first generation of pellet stoves did reload, by 
dropping a few on top.
