Yury,

You remind me that knowledge like this has probably been lost in many
communities where civil wars, drought and other disasters have disrupted
passing knowledge from one generation to another. We must document and apply
these uses of charcoal where appropriate.

Many thanks.

Tom

Subject: Re: Charcoal in Animal Feed and Bedding

Dear Tom,
One of the most effective treatment for poisoning is activated
charcoal. Animals and birds in cages have little movement. The digestive
system is working satisfactorily. Charcoal absorbs the gas in the
stomach. Poultry or pig cease to feel the pressure of gases. They eat
more. They gain weight faster. They get sick less. It has been known in
the Soviet Union. Many businesses were added to the coal feed. Russian
women in the villages make charcoal chickens and pigs and now. There
were papers on the subject. This tradition has been lost in modern
Russia at the state level, but is known to peasants.
Thanks,
Yury Yudkevich. [email protected]
