I'm fully in support of some sort of International ratification, so that every stove can be truly 'measured' and determined with a formal world wide accepted rating. I really applaud the idea of an ISO standard for 'stoves', because everybody can then work in a consistent manner to get results. There is so much 'technical' talk on this listing that I feel many probably do not understand and depending on the base 'fuel' that you are using may or may not be relevant. I'm looking at rice husks as being fuel and unfortunately, the burning methods of wood do not apply for my project, however understanding the process of pyrolisation does. Do I 'cook' the raw material at 250C or go for a full burn at >800C. I don't know, but I signed up with this group to try and find out. There are so many conficting reports that I'm more confused than I was at the start. Torrefaction (what temp?); Pyrolisation (what temp?); or just burn the damn stuff and create Ash as a cement additive? It's just so difficult to understand what to do for a newcomer into this field.
