Dear Stovers and Especially Vintage Stovers Who Remember How Things Used To Be
Envirofit has a product catalogue out: http://www.envirofit.org/files/Envirofit%20Product%20Overview2012.pdf Look through the stoves and accessories, paying attention to the detail delivered on the pot supports. A great deal of thought has gone into these products. What is most impressive is the significant step up these products are in quality and reliability compared with the efforts the global stoves community over the previous years. It is truly a maturing industry. There are viable career paths for thermal and materials engineers, as also witnessed by the development of the GEK gasification systems. For those who recall the Shell support for stove programmes in the past, this is the result of the focussing of the funding for their 5 million stoves on 5 continents idea on a single private venture. The task was tendered (by invitation) and Envirofit was given the opportunity to come up with a set of stove solutions and bring them to the world. The performance of each product is listed but I was unable to find on their website the test protocol that it says it located at www.eecl.colostate.edu If anyone has a copy and can post a link please do so. It is important that we know how the testing was done and how the performance was calculated. Thanks Crispin
