Dear Fun in sunny Kingston I am happy to see you getting that sort of power form a 2" pipe. I am trying for 3.5 kW from the same pipe and it works well.
I would like to see it running at the end of the month - if you don't burn it out before then! What is your burn rate - kg/hr? Do you get evidence of clinkering (ash melting)? This allow the platform to mimic common chimney conditions or indeed higher pressure differences. During trials today the Pellet Pasifier (largely based on the Dasifier https://sites.google.com/site/dicksfoundry/Home/dasifier )was able fire at up to about 30 kilowatts, all through a ~5 cm throat. The burner mounts on the green barrel and the blower mounts on a water cooled plate on the red barrel. https://picasaweb.google.com/100691739453894624566/August52012 Here is a short video through a port in the side of the red barrel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9esuUv14E2k&feature=youtu.be Fun in the Sun Alex English _______________________________________________ Stoves mailing list to Send a Message to the list, use the email address [email protected] to UNSUBSCRIBE or Change your List Settings use the web page http://lists.bioenergylists.org/mailman/listinfo/stoves_lists.bioenergylists.org for more Biomass Cooking Stoves, News and Information see our web site: http://www.bioenergylists.org/ _______________________________________________ Stoves mailing list to Send a Message to the list, use the email address [email protected] to UNSUBSCRIBE or Change your List Settings use the web page http://lists.bioenergylists.org/mailman/listinfo/stoves_lists.bioenergylists.org for more Biomass Cooking Stoves, News and Information see our web site: http://www.bioenergylists.org/
