Stovers,
Back again with the same old questions that I hope someone will help me check my calcs. Dry biomass having a H content of 5.4% Equals 54 g H per kg or 486 g H2O vapor produced during combustion. Water vapor has 2675.6 kJ/kg so we have 1300 kJ/kg to subtract from the HHV to get the LHV? Am I close? Thanks Frank We now have a hydrogen analyzer so I no longer need to estimate (look up) the H content of different fuels.
