Will evaluate the potential environmental and economic implications of technology scale-up and research design improvement to palliate to any possible negative impacts; negotiate access to relevant labs and equipment at MIT and partner institutions; hire and supervise UROP students; and produce ready-to-use resources for charcoal enterprises to select and operate technology solutions in consideration of their scale and local constraints. REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree in engineering; two years of work or research experience in combustion, cook stove design, or emissions analysis; and proven analytical and project management skills.
