JJ and biochar list: cc Erin (webmaster)

1. I respond since I sent the original stove list message by Jock to the
biochar list. am responding to JJ's query below: ".. someone direct me to a
site or link "

2. Anyone wanting to learn more about the stove list dialog (a sister list,
also managed by Erin) should go to
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html

This address is by date. You can also toggle to look by thread

3. Surprising to me is that Jock's original message which looked like this

Subject: [Stoves] Secondary air slots and deflectors

Friends,

I get this flame pattern when I use a slot for secondary air with three
deflectors just above the slot. This tends to keep the flame in the combustion
zone between the top of
<snip rest>

RWL continue #3:
..... doesn't appear in the above cited archives. I assume this is because
there were lots of attached photos.

4. So this is to ask Erin if there is a way to fix this problem and still also
show all messages that came through with attachments .

5. For the converse (stove list members wanting to view archives of the biochar
lists), you should go to
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/biochar/

6. Replace "biochar" with 4 other list names shown there for other categories.
Almost any could have stove information (hopefully only stoves of char-making
character)

7. Also an overall site, which contains bulkier data - some on stoves
http://biochar.bioenergylists.org/

8. Erin What did I miss?

Ron
ps Erin is Tom Miles daughter. Tom bares the cost for all of the (6?) sites
mentioned above - plus a few others..

Greetings,
When we are in the Philippines, we often cook over a rice hull burner or stove.
The stoves are fairly easy to work with, but were
made for me and I had them shipped in by a company simular to UPS, [LBC], from
Cebu to our island. Those two burners have
become quite the envy of our neighbors. Rice hulls are a byproduct of the
common food in the area. They can be obtained for
nearl nothing, IE Free.
I am wondering, I have not followed the thread closely, but could someone
direct me to a site or link that will tell me how the
stove in this pictures was made. I would not think it would be rocket science
and any information would be very helpful. We want
to introduce these burners to our church members. We also dump the bio-char on
the garden and have noticed some improvement
in our soil quality since we started this practice.
Thanks in advance.
JJ
