I like creative people and take no pleasure criticizing their work but it is going to be too expensive and difficult to make with all the pegs.
Could pegs or fins from steel be attached to the burner pot holder instead? Or the sides of a pot shell? I know that a fin shell works very well. He did not explain the principals very well, the pegs create more surface area to absorb heat and slows down the flow so the pot has more time to absorb the heat I did some calculations a couple of years ago and came tot he conclusion that beyond 60 liters it is more practical to use a vat as a cooking vessel, like the ones used in tortilla factories to cook corn. A stainless vat is less expensive than a 100 liter aluminum pot if you build it your self, and way way less expensive than a stainless pot. Vats are easy to make with basic manual fabrication equipment and they absorb heat very well, probably better than the rocket pot and better than a regular pot for sure. Vats distribute heat well with less hot spots that can scorch the food. Thin aluminum will melt if the pot goes dry so I use no less than 6mm ΒΌ"thick. With stainless 16 gage is thick enough for a vat.
