Nolbert and all, Some comments about the video about TLUDs in Kampala (link is below):
1. Well done, not some sales pitch, and was prepared by an organization that is independent of the TLUD producers.
2. Excellent views of placing wood "segments" vertically in the TLUD. (Such fuel loads normally burn for over 90 minutes in one batch and with very little attending to the fire.) But no mention of other acceptable biomass fuels.
3. Difficulty of igniting the wood is acknowledged, and shows the method of using kindling on top. But no mention of alternative ignition methods that are faster but could use 10+ grams of kerosene on some small kindling.
A short 5 minute video cannot cover all issues, but this one did make good use of the limited time.
