Dear Anil,
I have quickly reviewed the new paper. Basically, I like it. A
couple of questions/comments:
1. It is useful to those who read the earlier version if you would give
a _very short _summary of what has been changed in BOTH the paper (as a
presentation document) and the method (what is different and perhaps why).
2. I am wondering about the changes in a galvanized sheet when it has
been cleaned with an emery cloth 10 and 40 and 100 and more times.
Eventually the zinc will be gone and the bare steel will be exposed, and
the exposure will not necessarily be uniform across the entire disk.
This might NOT be an issue in reality, but it is an issue in theory,
until it is sufficiently explained. Perhaps the disk should not be
galvanized. Or perhaps some other material. Just asking.
As I said at the start, I like the concept. And I am glad that you
have placed it into the public domain (no patent). Now we need to have
replication and verification and a determination about the utility of
the method. Anyone interested in taking the topic further should be
in contact at least directly with Anil. And I hope in contact with
the whole listserv.
