Hello all, I love all ideas that have come up. I believe it would be interesting to have a discussion related to the WBT protocol for Plancha Stoves to help push that process and have a ways where we can compare thermal efficiencies of multi pot or plancha stoves with single pot ones. Could be a presentation or a workshop type event.
Stove adoption is also a great point to work on and the factors that seem to be positive or negative in the technology and implementation designs. Thanks to your suggestion some time back, it has become a real training course that I now do as well for new staff from GIZ or other organizations, especially before they go into the field. But I have also been doing this even with illiterate stove producers in Burundi, Congo and Malawi in the last year. For SOME attendees, the topic of "Charcoal producing stoves and related biochar issues" is of major interest and will draw in some additional participants. But this is NOT a biochar conference with reports on impact on soils and plants. Recommendation: Attend if you can!!!!!! I have attended every ETHOS since 2004, and the content and importance is getting stronger and stronger. 48 intensive hours.
