You guys have some really great resource links all collected in one place. Kudos for that! But I've been on the list for months and didn't know it existed. There seems to be a problem with visibility, or advertising, or something.

Mary raises some good points. For a number of reasons, E-Democracy has not always been as effective as we would like to be at:

 1) Communicating clearly with our participants about
who we are, how we operate, and what our mission is.

2) Promoting ourselves in the community.

We are currently taking steps to address both of these points. Right now, a group of St. Paul citizens and list participants are working to form a local chapter of St. Paul E-Democracy that will both promote our forum in the community and also provide oversight and strategic planning for our forum.

The main purpose of E-Democracy is to provide online tools and forums that will help engage citizens in local politics and public policy discussions. As St. Paul E-Democracy develops we hope to form partnerships and experiment with new ways of engaging citizens and contributing towards better local governance.

We are looking for citizens and community activists willing to work with us to achieve these non-partisan civic goals. If you are interested in helping "build E-Democracy" in St. Paul, then please contact us at:
