Here is an example of how to do this, although mine is probably longer than most of yours. Its also helpful to hear from those of you with little or no connections to the district, this gives us some perspective on our discussion.
-------------------------------------------------
I'm Tim Erickson. I've lived in St. Paul most of my life and graduated from St. Paul Public Schools. I attended Hancock Elementary, Wilson Junior High, and Central High (I spent 9th & 10th grade at Concordia Academy in Roseville - then came back to SPPS).
For about 1 year (1994), I worked as a part-time community education specialist, organizing service learning opportunities at St. Paul Central.
My son attended Kindergarten at Webster and is now attending Capital Hill, where I recently applied to be on the Site Council. I have a daughter that will attend Kindergarten next year, but we haven't decided where. Last year, my nephew attended St. Paul Central as a exchange student from Germany.
I regularly volunteer in my son's classroom and have juggled in about 10 or more different elementary schools. For about 5 years now, I've taught mini-courses in Juggling to 4th graders at Horace Mann elementary (volunteer).
We live within two blocks of Galtier Elementary and Wilson Junior High.
How about you?
