NEAT - info about SPPS budget: http://tinyurl.com/3gt66 _________________________________________ My name is Joann Ellis and one of my main concerns about the proposed budget is that there are no recommended cuts to the Superintendent's or area superintendents' budgets for next year. I don't understand why this is so. One school board (who I approached about this issue) told me that it came "down from above" that those budgets are not to be touched! WHY? I have a very hard time accepting cuts in a budget that always in the long run hurt our children. Why can't we as adults take the brunt of cuts? When I stated this to another school board member, I was told that there is never any solution that won't hurt children. That I cannot accept.
