In addition to eliminating the disclosure requirement, it also eliminates the requirement that the subsidy go only to plants owned in the majority by farmers. Of course, GSE was already exempted from that requirement. However, I suspect that other plants may be having trouble meeting the requirement so the solution is to eliminate it.
The original bill to subsidize ethanol to the tune of 20 cents/gallon was outrageous enough. Now, they want to make it even more so.
