They don't have any 'fat' to trim? Jon, if you want to help lower the costs of health insurance call your state and federal legislators and demand that they support comprehensive tort reform. A significant portion of the cost increases we pay each year end up in the pockets of personal injury law-yers. Where do you think Mike Cireci (my personal choice for Tort Reform poster boy) got the cash to finance his own run for Governor? Wan't to see how genuine Fat Cat lives? Take a drive past Cireci's manse in Mendota. Who's paying the mortage for it? Us: Me and You. We can all help by realizing that doctors are not gods, they can and do make honest mistakes. That does not mean that we should not demand accountability for inept, or unprofessional medical service; it doesn't mean that we should not be compensated for our losses. It just means that we don't "hit the lottery" every time we are injured due to an honest mistake. Don't forget that the doctor is not going to make you rich, your neighbors are; through higher health insurance premiums. If pharmicutical companies did not have to cover the costs of litagation as well as R&D, we wouldn't have to buy drugs from Canada either. If we could all just apply a bit of common sense we could have an impact. TSwift Cherokee Park __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
