I accessed the housing website yesterday and looked at a property I had
complained about, 1822 Iglehart. If you are at all interested, I suggest you
take a look at the website. 1822 appears to be a trash house. The garage
burned down a while back and the yard, never a gem, filled with mountains of
trash, a couple of toppling tents, vehicles, furniture, you name it. The front
window is boarded up. The record the city shows for the property reflects
several people's complaints, but none for the times I called. The most
remarkable thing appears to be that nothing whatsover has changed.

If you decide to do a drive by on this property, one of the things you will note
is there is no address on the house. (Fairview and Iglehart) This is a
violation of city ordinance yet that is never mentioned as an issue in the staff
comments about the property. I suspect this new website could bring effective
complaining to a whole new level. Let us hope. Properties like this diminish
the livability of the community and hurt the property values all around it and
there is little neighors can do to protect themselves.
