MSP has MAC to watch over it
GSE has no one who will claim resposability for the big picture
MSP pays fees to sound proof homes from noise
GSE rebates less that 0.1% of it's state subsidies, none of which goes to sound proofing homes
MSP is reevaluating its noise countor maps, for sound proofing homes
GSE would like to deny it even has noise countor maps
MSP has peek hours, flight times, reduces noise at night, by schedualing during the day. Planes come and go.
GSE 24 / 7 or until it breaks which ever happens first.
MSP acknoladges that sound is a problem.
GSE still denies it stinks. and even when violating OSHA noise saftey limits for neigbors denied it was any louder that the brewery.
MSP has noise countor maps they use for 60, 63, 65 dba to determin where houses need sound proffing
GSE routinely blows thru all those limits, and has no plans for sound proffing homes.
MSP polaticians recacnize there are problems that need to be addressed.
GSE frequent flier miles, and sporting even tickets keep polaticians busy
this is just off the top of my head after reading about MAC and sound proffing homes again.
