Dear Participants:
As many of you know, the St. Paul Issues Forum has historically been an all volunteer effort with little to zero budget. Last year, we asked participants to make financial contributions towards our operating expenses and plans for growth. In just over a week, we gathered almost $1000 in pledges from participants like yourself.
We are now in the final stages of establishing St. Paul as the home of the first official "local" chapter of E-Democracy. As a local chapter, we hope to increase local input and control over our forum and initiate new E-Democracy projects in St. Paul.
However, we need your financial support to reach our goals. We are asking participants to voluntarily contribute $35 or more towards a goal of raising $1500 this week.
Please support our ongoing efforts to empower, inform, and engage St. Paul citizens in the public life of our community, by building online forums and tools for citizen engagement and making them accessible to the community.
