To correct Charlie Swope, perhaps, I remember reading recently that the renovation of the K-Mart is well underway and that Wal-Mart's plan is a fait acompli as opposed to "proposed". I'm afraid that ship has sailed. Like them or not, Wal-Mart will be good competition for Target, a great shopping resource for the surrounding area and a needed employer and business taxpayer. Of course, the City could have turned the space into a modern art gallery or some other socially desireable taxpayer-supported project, but I'd rather watch the Twins outside ;-) Cheers!
