I�m happy to announce an afternoon of exciting student performances and
the Highland Park/Central High School speech showcase and fundraiser! In
a time of budget difficulties in our public schools, some of the most
valuable extracurricular activities like speech and debate are
continually under funded. Help us keep these programs alive an well in
our schools.
Students from Highland Park and Central High School will be performing
at Brewery Caf� (www.BreweryCafe.com <http://www.brewerycafe.com/> )
this Sunday, April 18th starting at 4 p.m. A $3-5 per person suggested
donation will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will go directly to
the Highland Park and Central High School speech teams.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see very talented students perform.
As a former HS State tournament speech participant myself, I encourage
you to witness first hand the creativity of this often lesser known
extra curricular activity. Speech and debate experiences stay with our
students for a lifetime. Please come and show your support for these
students!
