================================================= St. Paul E-Democracy Works Through SHARING:
PLEASE SHARE YOUR: Information, Ideas, & Opinions ================================================= GSE is just standard ruling class behaviour, down thru the centuries. GSE is particularly obvious; the mask has dropped for all to see the grisly face behind; other ruling class scams are often just as bad, just a bit less obvious. The main enemy of the people, citizens, a decent peaceful life, democracy, justice, and ethics, are the powers that be - the ruling class. We are in Iraq killing for oil because of them. We are breathing GSE toxic waste because of them. They are THE enemy, and the sooner we realise it and take back our power, the better. We can't win against the national level thieves, yet, but we can here, locally, if we really want to. If GSE isn't your fight, then stop a free taxpaid stadium for Carl P. Or keep WalMart out. Or end TIF for local big developers. Or shift money from tax cuts to the undeserving rich, to money to expand libraries and schools and parks. Lots of fields of action. The same class enemy in each, the same too-cooperative government officials every time there's a problem. The idea that The American Dream is to pile up billions of dollars - and damn the consequences for everyone else - has got to end. Its flip side is poverty and misery for the great majority. The more the CEO's get, the poorer the rest of us are. Can we really morally approve of a world where a few have billions, and the rest of us nothing? Which is where the rich would like to put us, and where we have been steadily going for at least 25 years since Reagan. It would be a really nice victory of the people to close down GSE. Now. --David Shove Roseville On Mon, 19 Apr 2004, M Charles Swope wrote: > ================================================= > St. Paul E-Democracy Works Through SHARING: > > PLEASE SHARE YOUR: Information, Ideas, & Opinions > ================================================= > > I concur that Arno's swipe at Mike Unger was entirely > unjustified.
