I have to hand it to GSE, once again they are, without even trying, they are dividing the neighborhood into multiple camps.
These kinds of arguments about Who did what for whom and when helps them more than anything else they have done. From their "THEFT" of "STOP THE STINK" signs that went up in May-July of 2000, from their comments of its only a couple of disgruntled people we don't smell, their attempt to get a sweetheart deal from the EPA consent decree, their attempt to get another sweetheart deal with the city before CASE became an intervener in the law suits there, to their most outragous actions of "changing they way they operate for our health" and their failure (and MPCA's lazyness to enforce the rules of the agency) to be operating with a valid permit, to the most recent $1 mill in back due tax liens.
The real deal is that no matter what you think another has done, there will always be someone who says it could have done better, but the FACT IS that at least they DID something. Which is more than we can say of our Estemed Former City Council Member and the Mayor. We have a solid 6 members of the council on our side from last count. Wanna loose what we have gained? Wanna go back to One or none? Keep up the act and GSE wins and we loose.
CASE was not perfect in it's PR, but it also was held by the court to limit the number of interveners and issues to be detailed in the case before the court. THAT is the action of the Judge, who frankly should be removed from his position, and no one else.
Arno could be using equipment that is designated as accurate enough, but HEY GSE is well above what the tolerance level is for noise so it really doesn't matter until they come even somewhat close to what they are allowed right?
Granted I have made my fair share of errors as well. I too bashed Andy, CASE, even Arno, the Federation, till I realized that this doesn't do US any good, and it helps GSE.
BUT NO LONGER!! We can not allow GSE to divide us, for UNITED WE STAND divided we fall. We must not fall.
