The best way to become a district council board member is to start out
by not being one.
Get involved in some issue or concern in the neighborhood or bring a
concern to the district council and volunteer to work to resolve it.
Two things happen, you make the neighborhood better and you become a
leader.
Leaders are a much sought after commodity - most people are willing only
to offer opinions and are a dime a dozen. Leaders are usually asked by
others to run for district council offices.
Personally, I would hesitate to vote for a district council board member
unless i had seen their leadership at work
