Ah choice! A smoking ban takes away a smokers choice? What does
the smoker do when he or she lights up? Oh yes I know. Gives the
non smoker the choice to leave.

Lets talk choice. There are laws and ordinances on the books in
St. Paul, Minnesota and other metropolitan areas that take away my
choice to do a number of things. To name a few: skateboard where I
want (Yes I know boards etc damage property) to carry a drink on the
street; to do any number of things in public that some people claim
are offensive. and on and on.

Some of these prohibitions are due to safety concerns for the
public, some are for decency. Still others are health concerns. I
would say this is a health concern.

The one thing I will say about choice is if you disagree with what
choice allows you will come up with names and slogans to bad mouth
those who want choice. BUT when you feel you have a right to do
whatever, and someone wants to take that right away, you will shout
"You are taking away my right to choose."

Minneapolis is talking SMOKING BANS.

Please email Minneapolis Mayor RT Rybek at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and tell him what you think.

Below is the note I e-mailed to him this morning.

Dear Mayor Rybek,

NO to any smoking bans in Minneapolis.

When will the DFL and Greens stop taking away our choices?
LEAVE US ALONE!

Why don't you do something useful like file in Civil Court to
recover the
over $250,000 Jackie Cherryhomes' FLAGRANT ABUSE OF POWER in the
Broadway Liquor
case cost Minneapolis taxpayers?
