<< Oh yea? That's not the report comming from Duluth pal.

The "benifits" came when the states that you've cited made the ban
statewide. Before that, smokers merely went where they could smoke:

Have you ever been to Duluth, Tom? Well, I have and the problem
with the businesses there is not a ban on smoking -- its a general
depression of the economy. The smoking ban actually has gotten me to
spend more money there than I would have otherwise, in room nights, food
and drinks, plus some shopping and entertainment. I have even been
considering getting a house up there, since they are so cheap, rather than
a cabin on a small lake. Consider getting a nice house in a fair sized city
where you can look out on Lake Superior rather than a rarely used cabin on
Lake Nowhere. You might think about it too, especially if you want to help
their economy.
