OK, Matt. Would you please relate to us your thoughts and expectations for
the stadium package vote. I'd like to know both whether you intend to vote
against it and if you, as Minority Leader, intend to sell that vote to the
caucus.
As you can imagine, this is a very major issue for those of us concerned
about the budget imbalances you talk about, but I/we see nothing about the
role stadium funding is playing in that budget discussion and the diversion
of resources to it from not only a K-12 education funding perspective, but
from a bonding bill that should focus on capital projects that contribute to
education at all levels - including the University's portion of that.
Please pass on your intentions now that a vote is coming up out of the tax
committee.
Thanks for a prompt answer.

Good morning! Today is likely to be a busy day on the Floor, with the
Bonding bill under discussion. You will find the attached newsletter
dedicated to an update on the state budget at this point in Session.
To unsubscribe from the Capitol Update, simply reply to this message.
As always, please keep in touch with any concerns you have on the
issues reported in Capitol Update or any other matter of importance to
you as Session draws to a close.
I wish each of you a happy Minnesota Spring Day (much more typical than
yesterday with its 90+ degrees!).
Matt
