Welcome to the Minnesota Participation Project's weekly update! In this
update you will find tips and tools, information on important upcoming
events, and a chance to hear more about nonpartisan voter engagement

This Week's Feature: Latino Voter Participation Summit
Tu Voz, Tu Voto, Nuestro Futoro, is a nonpartisan community conference
on Latino civic engagement and voter education, and will feature Joaquin
Avila, a nationally recognized Latino attorney and voting rights expert.
It will also feature workshops on various aspects of voting and voter
registration, as well as the importance of voting. The summit will take
place this Thursday, June 3, from 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the
Metropolitan State University Great Hall, 700 E 7th St, St. Paul. The
event is free, but you must register to attend. For more information,

Mark your Calendars!
* Voter Registration Tactics Clinic. June 9, 10:00 a.m. -
12:00 p.m. at the YWCA Midtown, 2121 E Lake St. in Minneapolis. Get the
skills and tools needed to run a volunteer canvass, table successfully,
and do voter registration at your office.
* C3 Table Meeting. July 1, 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the
Minneapolis Urban League, 2100 Plymouth Ave N. The C3 Table is a
facilitated discussion between members of the nonprofit community on
current issues and volunteer opportunities related to voter
mobilization.
* All MPP events are free, we just ask that you R.S.V.P. and
pass the word on to others.
