Thanks very much for participating in our two week discussion on Job Shadowing in St. Paul high schools. The goals of this event were largely to increase awareness about Job Shadowing and Internship programs in St. Paul and gather feedback from the community on how to ensure the success of these programs. We think that we were successful in both respects, but much work remains to be done.
We collected a list of almost 100 email addresses of individuals or organizations who we plan to send periodic updates on the progress of these programs. We are also looking at the possibility of using this list as a networking tool to find specific placements for students from time to time.

We will leave our website open on a "read-only" basis for the weeks or months to come. However, as of last Friday, you may no longer post new messages to the web site.
PLEASE NOTE: Individuals schools and the district are still in the process of setting up a formal system to help match students with job shadow volunteers or local businesses. We'll use our announcement list to keep you up to date on how this effort is progressing.
In the meantime, if you wish to host a job shadow student, an intern, or become more involved in a high school mentoring program - please contact one of the high schools listed on our web site directly.
