Pam -

I'd love to hear more about the whens and wheres and whys of the Maplewood compost heap. I think Andrew Hines' post should also be a sign that other forum members are interested in finding out what's going on with that. I live just five or six blocks from what I think is a compost heap for Ramsey. It never bothers me. I don't bother it. I bought a compost bin last month based on a notice I saw in this list. It's about half full yet, but I was disappointed to learn it would probably take 6 months to make good given the way I intend to deal with it. I'd like to know what the danger is of the Maplewood compost heap. I'd hate to find out that improper handling of a compost heap could be a mold or bacteria hazard. I have a four year old son and a husband who is sensitive to mold and allergens. I'd like to hear more.
