"Of course this is tongue in cheek, but I hope it points out how absurd we are in banning one persons vices or choices when we are all guilty of infringing on each others health daily. Let's get
back to reason and let people make personal choices."


I could (equally tongue in cheek) go on about how we should not ban people from driving whatever speed they wish, or imbiding absinth if they desire it. Or perhaps we should remove all bans from heroin and crack cocaine. Surely the public good would be served by allowing crack to be openly sold at every convenience store. While we're at it, we could remove the bans from selling alcohol and tobacco to minors and take off those pesky Surgeon General's warnings from products. Why not entirely deregulate the whole of the food industry? After all, people should be able to exercise completely unfettered "choice" about what they consume.

That would also be absurd though, just as absurd as your hyperbole. What you might consider getting "back to reason" is not what others might consider getting back to reason.
