"Faulty wiring, broken smoke detectors and other code violations prompted city inspectors to order St. Paul's only Hmong funeral home to shut down this week, but the owner intends to keep the doors open for rites this weekend anyway.

Koua Xiong, who has operated the Hmong Funeral Home at 625 N. Dale St. for several years, could face criminal charges if he allows the public into his building, Fire Marshal Steven Zaccard said."
