Surely this is the worst-kept secret in town... He'd certainly be a legitimate candidate with a solid citywide base, lots of respect, the time to be real candidate, and not huge amounts of baggage, but it also matters how Randy plays this and who else is out there making plans. I heard a few names earlier, but not recently -- others could clue us in unless they're reluctant to do so until things are public. (Though no one on this list ever hesitates to speculate and opine, which should make this fun! ;-) I'd be interested in asking the (former) chief about his position on the smoking ban.
