I really can't believe that this is being brought up as part of the anti-smoking
campaign.

"I feel very reluctant to bring up anyones death as part of
this smoking debate, but it is in fact Life and Death that we are talking
about in this issue."

An over exaggeration of the facts, but on the same line; everytime you get in a car
it's Life and Death, every time you cross the street it's Life and Death, every time
an asthmatic smells cologne or perfume it can be Life and Death, a bee sting can be
Life and Death. Not saying long term, significant, exposure to second hand smoke may
not be harmful to some, but so is pollution from cars and public transportations'
busses.

"When I saw this, I wondered if her exposure to second hand smoke in bars
may have had something to do with it."

Shows the engrained ideology; what about her eating habits, was she obese, was she
prone genetically, was she just plain unlucky?

"Owners of Bars must be having the same kinds of thoughts when they read
stories like this, only they are hoping they don't get sued, while I am
hoping they do."

Not that I have any love for the owners of bars, bars and alcohol have caused more
misery than smoking every will. However, remember this slippery slope. First it was
guns and lawsuits against manufacturers, then cigarettes, now bars, what's next?
McDonalds, Burger King? Already under way. And we wonder why the cost of products is
going up so fast.
