Friends,

We are informally calling Tuesday the 27th a nonsmoking night out for those of us to
gather at three favorite restaurants in a "progressive style" evening: 4:30-6 happy
hour; 6-8 dinner & 8-9 dessert (Caf Latte has been nominated for this final
destination).

Could I have two more nominations for currently nonsmoking restaurants in any other
part of the city? We'd like to highlight 3 places in 3 neighborhoods in order to
feature the restaurants, invite 5 courageous city council members (and we hope Debbie
Montgomery will consider joining us!) to celebrate the sense of these responsible
business owners.

There's a small committee of 5 that has been brainstorming possibilities but if anyone
would like to suggest favorite nonsmoking spots, please do so! The reason we are doing
the 27th is that the vote is planned on the 28th and if we can get a critical mass at
each of these three restaurants we will be making a strong statement of support for
those businesses that voluntarily abide by a nonsmoking policy and respect the clean
air-space of their workers.

Folks can join us at one, two or three of the events... it will be a great way to meet
your fellow posters & lurkers.

Cheers,
Cristy

P.S. I have an offer in on a condo in Summit Hill. I'm gradually finding my way back
to my favorite city.
